Our Services

One of the most important skills is communication, and people with autism frequently struggle with it. With the goal of enhancing speech, language, and communication abilities, our evidence-based programs for autistic speech therapy are customized to meet the specific requirements of every client.

What is Speech Therapy

Communication and language difficulties are addressed through speech therapy. It can enhance the social, nonverbal, and vocal communication skills of those with autism. The main objective is to assist the individual in communicating in a more practical and efficient manner.

Individual differences exist in the obstacles associated with speech and communication. Some people with autism spectrum disorders are nonverbal. Some people enjoy conversing, but they find it hard to maintain a conversation or read others’ facial emotions and body language.

A speech-language pathologist (SLP) evaluates the patient to determine their communication skills and weaknesses before starting speech treatment. Based on this assessment, the SLP formulates personalized treatment objectives.

The following are a few of the abilities that speech therapy may target:

  • Building up the jaw, neck, and mouth muscles
  • Articulating speech sounds more clearly
  • Matching the right face expression to the right feelings
  • Knowing how to read body language
  • Answering inquiries
relating an image to its description
  • Producing the right word on an iPad using a speech app
  • Changing the voice’s tone
